I can has Pringlez?
From left to right: basil & garlic, soft-shell crab, grilled shrimp and seaweed - all flavours I've never tried before. No, that's not a TV in the background.
OM NOM NOMMM
...The latter two look really unhealthy.

The Big Bad Box of Books
I went over to The Big Bad Book Sale today run by some company called Big Bad Wolf Books. Apparently, their mascot is a strangely awesome wolf silhouette. Anyways, it was some book clearance sale. The article in The Star says the most expensive items are RM20 each. Strange, though - I recall seeing something going for RM30. Anyways, that's not the point. Most of the books were going for incredibly cheap. I found a lot of large, hardcover books going for RM8, in pristine condition. Awesome. On the off hand, digging through the massive stacks of books and navigating through the crowd sucks. Plunging your hands into the papery dephts of a pool of books in the middle of a huge crowd sucks more. Guess that's warehouse clearance sales for you. Can't complain with the prices, though.

Shifting Shifting Shifting
Shift_ Sideways Palm Harbor Teaser
I sort of promised myself I'd finish Shift_ Sideways during this semester break (and failed to live up to that promise). I suppose that didn't turn out too well, given how I apparently have this tendency to procrastinate for the first week of each break or something. To make up for that (oh, who am I kidding?), I've released a second teaser for the thing. Quality seems to have gone sideways, too. I guess I need to experiment more with optimising my videos for YouTube. Still, the clock's ticking - the "COMING 2009" in the teasers pretty much constitute some sort of public promise I'm not willing to turn back on.
Speaking of YouTube, apparently it's going 1080p. That's probably a good thing for people running on something along the lines (pun not intended) of fibre optics, except with our backwater Internet service, it's probably not going to see much mainstream usage over here in what's possibly going to be a long while. I'll probably not ever churn out a video in that resolution in a long while, either.
23 NOVEMBER 2009 EDIT: Suddenly, inexplicably, amazingly, this has become a college assignment. Pipe dreams to reality - or somewhere in between. I guess that's motivation enough to stop procrastinating and polish it up.
